Narrating Europe
Whitsun Dialogue, 08 – 10 June 2011, Schloss Seggau, Leibnitz
„Narrating Europe" is the key theme of the Whitsun Dialogue "Geist & Gegenwart". Top-class speakers will discuss this exciting topic in the inspiring ambience of Seggau Castle form 08 to 10 June 2011.
As the title suggests, "Narrating Europe" is about the aspect of diverse literary narratives, about Europeans of different, including migrant origin and from different cultural or religious backgrounds. But we also see the other great European narratives - from the Enlightment, democracy and universal human rights to economic achievements such as the European social and economic model, the EU or the euro, through to narrativees of a religious nature.
The 4th Whithsun Dialogue will provide the opportunity to discuss these exciting topics and issues in plenary sessions and insieme groups.
